Le 23 et 24 novembre, deux jeunes palestiniens du réseaux étudiant FFIPP (www.shrj.org et www.ffipp.org) seront à Bruxelles afin de présenter ce nouveau network international et ses différents projets mais aussi pour partager avec nous leurs visions de la situation sur le terrain. A cette occasion, Dor Shalom vous invite à les rencontrer le 23 novembre à 19h Notre discussion portera sur leurs expériences respectives aux Universités de Birzeit et de Al Najah ; sur les projets qu’ils coordonnent au sein de la société civile ainsi que sur leurs témoignages personnels. Vous trouverez ci-dessous une courte biographie en anglais des deux invités. 1) Samah Atoot graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Administration from Al Najah University in Nablus, Palestine. She has been volunteering in her community for over nine years and works on a variety of youth, refugee, and educational programs. She co-founded and manages “Project Hope Country,” an organization geared toward providing educational, artistic, and emotional growth for young children (http://www.palhope.net). Moreover, she has also been a leader at the Zajel Youth Exchange Program, a summer camp in Nablus that also provides educational and cultural opportunities for Palestinian youth. Ms. Atoot was also part of a Palestinian speaking tour, which visited various locations throughout the United Kingdom, including Manchester, Liverpool, and London, in the summer of 2003. 2)
Ubai Abudi is a student of economics at Birzeit University
in Ramallah, Palestine. He founded Birzeit’s Debate Society and
is currently working to organize delegations of Palestinian students to
speak about their experience abroad. Mr. Abudi also leads and facilitates
cross-cultural dialogue and discussion among international volunteers
in the hope of increasing awareness and understanding of different perspectives
regarding the Israeli Palestinian conflict.
